VAT INCREASE TO 15% ON 1 APRIL 2018
11 March 2018As per the Budget speech, the Minister of Finance announced an increase in the Value Added Tax (VAT) rate from 14% to 15%. This will come into effect on 1 April 2018, having the effect that all goods and services supplied until 31 March 2018 will be at a rate of 14% and from 1 April 2018 an increase of 1% will be applicable.
Orion Hotels & Resorts took the above into consideration, and to apply this practically, the following has been decided:
Bookings made on/or before 31 March 2018 will be billed at the rate of 14% VAT. Bookings made on/or after 1 April 2018, will be billed at a rate of 15% VAT
