Lion & Safari Park

The Lion and Safari Park has been operational for over 50 years and is proud to have contributed significantly to the survival of several endangered species. The park has a strong focus on conservation and education, offering visitors a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Africa’s most iconic animals.

One of the main reasons to visit the Lion and Safari Park is to see the magnificent lions. The park is home to a large pride of African lions, many of which were born in captivity. Visitors can see the lions up close on one of the guided tours or from the comfort of their own car on the self-drive safari. Either way, it’s an unforgettable experience.

Another highlight at the park is the cheetah interaction experience. This unique activity gives visitors the chance to meet and interact with these beautiful creatures. Guests will learn all about cheetahs – their habits, diet and behaviour – from one of the experienced guides before getting up close for a photo opportunity or two.

For those looking for an even more adrenaline-pumping experience, there are nightly predator feedings where you can watch as lions, hyenas and vultures feast on their dinner (don’t worry, it’s not live prey!). These feedings take place in a safe enclosure so guests can get nice and close without any risk. Afterwards, head out on a night drive where you might spot nocturnal animals such as owls, jackals and bushbabies.
